1. Why AI cannot do good science without humans｜editorial

2. The uncritical adoption of AI in science is alarming — we urgently need guard rails｜comment

Lisa Messeri 的 Comment 是本期最值得細讀的 AI 治理文章。它不只討論 AI slop、hallucinated citations 或寫作品質，而是指出 AI 可能讓研究問題變窄、讓科學產出看似增加但理解力下降，並侵蝕早期研究者透過文獻搜尋、資料清理、方法摸索所累積的 tacit knowledge。這篇的價值在於把「AI 使用揭露」推進到「為何使用、如何使用、誰負責判斷」的層次。對 PI、研究所課程、期刊與基金會來說，最關鍵的建議是不要只要求 disclosure，而要要求使用理由與責任邏輯，否則 productivity metrics 可能掩蓋品質下降。

3. ‘It is incredible’: How AI is transforming mathematics｜feature

這篇 News Feature 以 Erdős problem #1196 的 AI 協助解法開場，呈現數學界對 AI 的態度正在從「工具」轉向「可能產生新策略的協作者」。文章平衡地指出，現階段模型仍常重組既有技巧，且自然語言證明容易產生難以審查的錯誤；但 Lean formalization、proof verifier 與 benchmarks 也正在形成新的檢核基礎。臨床讀者未必需要數學細節，但可把它視為「高嚴謹度知識領域如何吸收 AI」的案例：當輸出可驗證時，AI 的價值才真正上升；當驗證成本高於生成成本時，整個審查制度會承壓。

4. The brain’s code seems to be in constant flux. Neuroscientists are baffled｜feature

6. Genetic predictors of GLP1 receptor agonist weight loss and side effects｜GWAS｜OA

7. Evolutionary characterization of lung cancer metastasis｜cancer genomics｜OA

僅依摘要評論。TRACERx lung 與 PEACE autopsy 的 501 個 longitudinal primary/metastatic tumour samples，讓作者重建 24 名 NSCLC 病人從診斷到死亡的轉移演化。摘要中最有臨床意義的是：metastases 與 ancestral primary tumour 明顯分化，且 62.5% 病人有多個 primary tumour subclones 播散；超過一半 sampled metastases 由其他 metastases seeded。這提醒臨床上單一轉移切片可能低估轉移多樣性，局部控制與系統治療時序也不能只用「原發灶→轉移灶」的線性模型理解。

8. Clinical application of base editing for treating β-thalassaemia｜phase 1

僅依摘要評論。這項 phase 1 trial 以 transformer base editor 修飾 autologous CD34+ cells，靶向 HBG1/2 promoter 的 BCL11A binding motif，以重新活化 HbF。5 名病人、median follow-up 23.0 months，摘要報告所有病人停止紅血球輸血，last transfusion median 18 days after infusion；month 3 mean total haemoglobin 12.4 ± 1.0 g dl–1、HbF 11.5 ± 0.9 g dl–1，且無死亡或癌症發生。這是 gene editing 臨床轉譯的重要訊號，但仍是小樣本早期試驗；conditioning、長期 clonal safety、off-target 與可近性仍是導入臨床前必須審慎追蹤的核心問題。
